Teachings at Desert Bloom Yoga are anchored in a lineage of studentship, supported by intelligent alignment and offered up with humor and humility. We utilize both form and flow in teaching: held poses, intrinsic core work and vinyasa (moving from one pose to the next in succession). The teaching is rooted in a Yogic philosophy of intrinsic goodness which holds that the physical body is a vehicle for transformation, devotion, creativity, expression and service.
We aim to honor each student and their needs – to meet each student where they are and discover how these practices can serve them most effectively.
We view the practices of yoga as sanctuary – a safe and supportive space to explore the full spectrum of who we are through the miracle of embodiment. This supportive space is enlivened by the “good company” of a sustained community of practitioners.
