Debbie's practiced yoga for over 30 years, since 1979. A high school gymnast at the time, her favorite event was balance beam. Yoga increased her balance, strength, focus, and flexibility, which immediately enhanced her effectiveness as a competitor.
Debbie was a self-taught yogini (female yoga practitioner) for the first two decades of her practice. In 2001, she became certified and began teaching. She currently holds a 500 hour certification.
