We are honored to be noted as the 2013 recipient of the Register Guard's READERS CHOICE for BEST YOGA STUDIO.
Eugene Yoga, a Sanctuary for Body, Mind, Spirit serves the community by providing accessible, sustainable yoga for every body.
We offer over 50 weekly classes (2 by donation) taught by skilled, credentialed instructors representing a myriad of yoga schools including Ayurvedic, Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar, Kundalini, Ananda, Baptise Power, Forrest, Yin and more. Workshops, series, retreats, partnership with Lane Community College and guest instructors are also part of our program. Our dedication to a safe and supportive environment provides you the opportunity to find a deep connection to body, mind, and spirit leading to vitality and well being. At Eugene Yoga our mission is to provide a supportive environment in which students explore sustainable yoga and therapeutic mind/body practices. Our vision is that all community members can access our offerings through extensive programming and financial accessibility. We ensure that anyone can access our programming by offering generous scholarships (to hundreds of students), as well as $6 community classes and Friends are Free on Fridays, as well as serving in other capacities:
•Co-sponsor many classes every term with Lane Community College's Successful Aging Institute. These classes are offered at a greatyly reduced cost. Classes include topics like Beginning Yoga, Yoga for Back Care, Yoga for Stress and Sleep and more.
•Reduced Rates for non-profit organizations, to their clients, staff and volunteers. Currently we partner with White Bird, Shelter Care and Cornerstone
•Donate studio space for yoga classes to non-profits. For the past 2 years we provide studio space to OSLP so that folks that are physical and mental challenges can access yoga.
•An active member of Downtown Eugene Merchants. Mission Statement: DEM promotes community, collaboration, and vibrancy for a more prosperous downtown Eugene. We are particularly interested in working towards a safe and friendly downtown.
•Participation in many off-site events including:
Sunday Streets, Hult Center Plaza Summer Events, Yoga in the Vineyard, and Yoga on Tap (at local breweries) Health and Wellness program for Bethel School District and Pleasant Hill High School Impact Conference
•Provide free on-site intro to yoga classes to local businesses to
•Donate to all requests for silent auctions to support schools and youth programs.
•Offer programs at Willamette Oaks, Waterford Grand and Avamere Riverpark. These are senior living sites.
•Participate in programs at the library, AARP meetings, and Senior Companions.
•Fundraisers for Greenhill, Shelter Care, DAYA foundation (brings yoga into correctional facilities)
•Offer classes that focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga: Chair Yoga, Yoga for Stress, Yoga for Insomnia, Yoga for Back Care, Yoga for Healthy Bones
•Bring guest presenters and specialty workshops to our community on topics to help folks find health and wellness: Nutrition for Auto-Immune Illnesses, Yoga for Cancer Recovery and many more.
