Gaining strength and trust to go upside down

Headstands is something I have tried but never done a dedicated class to it and I am so glad I did, not only do you get the opportunity to practice headstands but it’s all about building the right muscles, the stength and breathe to doing a safe and beautiful headstand.
I found Shimmy’s teaching inspiring and would recommend this class to anyone. A realy joy, thank you!

Love this place.

I'm taking my first steps on my yoga journey. Indaba Yoga Studios is a lovely place to start. Music greets you as you walk in at the ground floor and helps me get into the right headspace as you go up the stairs to the reception on the first floor. In the reception area it's either calm and serene or it's a jumble of bodies depending on if a class is starting or in progress. Either way the staff at the desk are welcoming and can readily offer advise on all the classes.

They have a great variety of yoga styles from which to choose. I have only been to Shimmy's beginner yoga so far (which I can highly recommend), but I'm looking forward to joining other classes soon. The large noticeboard informs you of all the classes/teachers/workshops and therapies. Refreshments are available after classes and there is range of colourful clothing, accessories and other interesting yogi merchandise upon which to browse. I live nearby so have not used the changing facilities or showers yet.
