Bio Lisa Zembruski
Lisa has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. She first began at Woodbury Yoga Center falling in love with the physical benefits immediately. Through exploration she continued her passion for learning by studying various types of yoga including, Hatha, Baptiste Vinyasa flow, Bikram, Kundalini, and Iyengar. After discovering the spiritual side of yoga, she was excited to begin a new journey and left public school teaching for more than 20 years to pursue her passion and love of yoga. Along with her 200 RYT hour training from Buddhi Mat Power Yoga, she has attended multiple workshops and trainings with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Rachel Brathen, Barbara Ruzansky, Lara Ward, Meghan Currie, Sean Corne, Shiva Rea, Kino MacGregor, Desiree Rumbaugh, and master Sadhana Dharma Mittra. Her depth of knowledge continued to grow on multiple levels, including teaching meditation , kundalini yoga, vinyasa power yoga, offering yoga for all ages including children, teens, and senior citizens. She has specialized in group and couples yoga, Sup yoga, yoga for cancer patients in rehabilitation facilities in hospitals, schools, and resorts. She has incorporated these specialties at five star resorts including The Excellence and Finest resorts , various Secrets resorts,Sandals Manchebo Bay, Marriott and Playa Linda in Aruba. She has been a guest teacher at various studios in Block Island, Cape Cod, Puerto Vallarta, and New York City. Lisa's passion is to travel the world and share her expertise and skills.
Lisa is the mother of two grown children and has passed on the love of yoga as well as the benefits of living an active and healthy lifestyle.
On her spare time, she enjoys traveling, healthy cooking, gardening, organizing yoga and meditation retreats, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her latest passion is her Boga Stand up paddle board where she is now offering lessons on Lake Quassapaug.
Yoga has made her more grateful, courageous, caring, spiritual and kind especially to herself. She has learned the true meaning of peace, compassion, kindness and love. Her greatest passion is helping others find their true inner self. She is an avid athlete and yogi. She continues to live her life based on The Magic by practicing gratitude each and every day.
Today you will find Lisa offering special master classes, offering 200 hour RYT teacher training, teaching yoga as a sport credit at Westover School, giving private yoga lessons,traveling to teach throughout the Caribbean with Fit Bodies organizing yoga retreats and always offering a kind word and a smile to others.
