A bright, new Yoga Studio opens in Highlands
LOTUS YOGA, conveniently located in the tranquil grounds of Highlands Sports Club in a light, airy pavilion, has now opened and is fast building a practice of yoga that promises to satisfy the needs of all keen yogis.
Whether you are brand new to yoga, or an experienced practitioner, Lotus Yoga has a variety of classes and experienced teachers to choose from. (Small groups and private classes can also be arranged).
How does yoga benefit me?
Yoga is your path to wellness and happiness! Yoga, through regular practice, can turn the clock back on all age-related stiffness and stress. They say you remain the age you were when you first started doing yoga… so if you haven’t yet tried it, don’t delay any longer!
Yoga complements other sports
If you are active in sport, yoga will keep your body in prime condition. Yoga allows you to get the most of the sport-specific training you do, giving you full mobility of all joints and alleviating stiffness after hard workouts. It also develops mental toughness and a heightened awareness of your body, which can help greatly in avoiding sports injuries.
A deep connection with your body during a yoga class means you are intensely present in the “now”, and in so doing you are taking a break from the habitual thinking that is so often our source of stress. This, combined with the stimulation of the body’s energy systems, will leave you feeling calm, relaxed and refreshed after a class. You’ll make friends with like-minded people, too!
