At Power & Posture we do things a little differently. All our classes have one focus - optimising physical movement through yoga postures to accelerate progression to eventually take flight. We believe that our bodies are incredible machines and we can teach it to do extraordinary things, in the case of Controlled Strength, moving effortlessly from one inversion or arm balance to the another.
Controlled Strength is a MOVEMENT method based on yoga poses (asanas). It is a hybrid form of commercial Yoga that focusses on power, endurance, stamina and control through high intensity sequences. Our classes are carefully designed to incorporate the alignment, awareness and breathing techniques of yoga asanas to get you comfortable with the movement mechanics of your body. Therefore, promoting effortless movement and control through every plane. Our method is unlike that of a commercial yoga studio - we build strength upside down and we strive to educate what the body is capable of in a safe and fun environment.
