She is a qualified yoga therapist and internationally trained yoga teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience.

Taryn Elise Herselman currently lives in the Johannesburg, South Africa. She is a trained Hatha Yoga teacher and Yoga Therapist with a special interest in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
She is passionate about the use of these forms of yoga for recovering full health after any trauma in a person’s life and in incorporating them into a yoga practice that can adapt as we age and have different physical requirements and needs.
She also has a special interest in yoga anatomy, and how to assist students with injures or specific conditions in group classes as well as private consultations.
After working in London for the BBC as a web producer she felt the calling to give back to the world and further her yoga studies. She returned to South Africa to complete a one-year teacher training course in the Satyananda tradition. Three years later the path of yoga unfolded as she headed for the birth-place of Yoga: India where she has returned for advanced, therapeutic training meditation and ayurvedic training.
Taryn Elise has a Masters Degree in Psychology (Research) and uses yogic techniques to assist with stress and anxiety related conditions.
She has been practicing Yoga for fifteen years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the workshops and weekend retreats she runs in Cape Town and Limpopo.
Taryn Elise has been influenced by various schools of yoga in London, New York, Chile, India and South Africa and integrates this knowledge into her classes. She continues her studies, at every opportunity, integrating various styles of yoga or holistic therapy techniques.
