Shala Om exists with the mission of bringing affordable, authentic Yoga to the local community.
Each week three yoga classes are offered, one outdoors (weather permitting).
Yoga is Hatha style with a focus on safe practice, concentration and developing awareness and integration of body/mind/spirit.
Meditations within the class draw on a range of practices including mantra, breath awareness, mindfulness, yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and chakra.
Suitable for anyone from beginners to advanced yogis who want a restful, contemplative practice.
What to bring:
*A mat, if you have one; a limited number of mats will be available for use if you haven't
*A towel, in case you are super sweaty like me
*loose and/or stretchy comfortable clothing, not necessarily designer-label
*option to bring a blanket or bolster for meditation/seated postures
*$10 cash payment unless you have booked online prior to class. No credit card facility as yet.
