“After an accident, which resulted in lumbar spine injury, I was invited to a local class with a friend as a form of pain management. I felt instantly connected to my body again as a result and my strength, range of motion and mood seemed to improve after every class. After 3 months my back pain, which had persisted for years disappeared and I was hooked!
I took my 200hr teacher training with Nicky Knoff in 2009 and continue to study with her today. My teaching and love for the therapeutic effects of practice eventually lead me towards my Level 7 certificate through the Knoff Yoga System. It was at this point I decided to focus my attention towards yoga therapy and to deepen my knowledge. I gained a post graduate diploma in Yoga Therapy through Devon School of Yoga in 2012, a Womb Yoga qualification in women's health and wellbeing studies through Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and more recently have completed studies and in-depth training with Dr Apte, a medical doctor and doctor of Ayurveda, I am now working as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Diet Consultant to complement my yoga therapy practice.
I am the founder of Synergy Yoga & Therapy and now specialise in yoga therapy for mental health, women’s health, injury rehabilitation and back-care. I also hold a Level 3 counselling skills certificate to help support clients and students further. I am a ROXY yoga and outdoor fitness ambassador and love to create and illustrate yoga inspired art in my spare time.
What I offer
I teach a collective of alignment focused sequencing, incorporating flow and creativity and specialise in Restorative sequences designed to replenish mind, body and soul. Through a concoction of compassion and humility I encourage students to travel home to their bodies, to rest back into ‘being’ rather than the ‘doing’ of practice”.
1:1 private yoga therapy:
Yoga therapy is a way for clients to address anything in their lives which is causing an imbalance, on a physical, mental or emotional level.
