The College of Therapy Yoga and Zen Shiatsu is a higher learning centre that specialises in Japanese Therapy Yoga and Zen Shiatsu Massage. Our yoga studio and vocational training centre is located just 9 kms from the Sydney CBD and was established in 2000 to promote enriched learning through close mentoring and professional teacher training programs.
Our Certificate and Diploma courses are rich with insights into yoga, east and western medical philosophies and diagnositic methods and allows you to study and practise along side some of Australia’s leading Japanese Therapy Yoga teachers within our working studio and natural therapies clinic; all under the guidance of our leading trainer, Lisa Masters.
Our yoga teacher training programs will define and broaden your own yoga practise and how your can interpret traditional philosophies into your daily life. You will study classical yoga practices and learn further specialised teaching skills so that you can adapt the focus and breath within a yoga movement to bring remedial and therapeutic changes for your clients—whether in a group or one-on-one session.
The essence of this yoga is to improve the function of the body systems to restore structural balance in the body. The yoga uses the body’s natural energy systems or qi meridians to bring balance to the body and mind. Taking it’s origins from other Japanese yoga’s such as Oki, Ryoho or Ki, our yoga has been enriched with Traditional Chinese Medicine and other oriental therapies to become a complete and accredited form of therapeutic yoga. Yet our yoga is surprisingly easy going and allows you to teach at an individual level within a class room setting. Your clients will feel relaxed and enjoy yoga at their own level to bring appropriate focus on self-healing, for body and mind balance for true health.
