Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.
A slow-paced style of yoga with asanas that are held for longer periods of time ranging from 45 seconds to 2 - 4 minutes, mainly working the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine.
The practice of meditation helps us to deal more calmly and effectively with the challenges of everyday life , helping us to feel less stressed and more centre.
The course explores a variety of practices from various traditions enabling us to quieten the chattering of the 'monkey mind'.
