YITL offers a welcoming community to all interested in coming together to practice pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (yoga postures) and meditation. YITL regularly hosts demonstrations, special events, talks and parties to expand understanding and celebrate life!
HOT YOGA is a system of 26 yoga postures and two breathing exercises drawn from traditional hatha yoga technique practiced in 40 degrees and 40 percent humidity we offer Classic 90 minute sessions which make up the bulk of our schedule along with EXPRESS classes which are only 60 minutes long.
YOGA CONDITIONING is a series brought to us by the internationally sought after Mary Jarvis, teaching Hot Yoga since the early 80's, Mary suffered a car accident that required more than hot yoga to bring her back to full superyogi status once again and these are tools she calls Shape Shifting. We are honoured to host Mary at least once a year and so grateful to have her blessing to share all of this with YOU!
JMY VINYASA simply put ! Sequenced by World Champion Jared McCann, this fun, dynamic practice uniquely fuses elements of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Dharma Mittra, Hot Yoga and Forrest Yoga. Asana, pranayama and meditation combine classical and modern yoga philosophy to create strength, flexibility and resilience of body and mind.
INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION offers simple tools to learn how to sit and notice yourself. Asana (yoga postures) were originally developed so to prepare the body and mind for seated meditation. Take a little bit of time everyday to sit quietly, notice yourself holding stillness, breathing normally and experience the many scientifically proven health benefits to your body, heart and mind. Gain simple tools to begin your own practice and improve the quality, productivity and enjoyment of your life.
