Helen is an experienced Yoga Teacher and Yoga Sports Coach.
She loves sharing the benefits of yoga with others and her clients range from complete beginners to experienced yogis, from elite athletes to those who need to remain seated in a chair.
She loves meeting interesting people and helping them to feel better physically and mentally, and it is her firm belief that anybody can benefit from practising yoga.
Helen finds the human body fascinating and has an in depth knowledge of the body’s structure, systems, functioning, mechanics and alignment. She understands how yoga postures and practices affect the body and mind, and how even very subtle changes in, for example, body alignment and the breath, can have a profound effect on physical and mental health.
When teaching yoga Helen aims to create a friendly, relaxed and safe environment in which you can let go of everyday pressures and stresses, and then enjoy the many benefits of yoga.
Over the years Helen’s teaching has been influenced by various yoga ‘styles’ ranging from the strong, dynamic and physically demanding through to soft, nurturing and releasing practices. She weaves elements of these various styles into her yoga sessions, according to the needs and aims of her students.
