I was introduced to yoga and meditation in 2006, when I had chronic fatigue, chronic pain and anxiety and I have my life back again! Yoga and Ayurveda has given me the tools and knowledge to nourish and nurture myself so I stay healthy and happy. It’s been a long journey coming back to health, but worth it. I am deeply grateful and inspired to help others with what I’ve learned, studied and experienced and equally excited to have found a venue to hold classes in Kyogle main street.
I teach hatha style yoga with breath and sound meditation. Suitable for all levels, especially beginners and for those who want to deepen their current practice or try a different style of yoga. The focus is to be comfortable. You don’t have to be flexible or worried if you can’t sit cross legged on the floor. Most of the postures are either standing up or laying down with gentle stretching, strengthening and deep breathing. The sound meditation can be done sitting in a chair or on the floor leaning against the wall. And … as a special treat at the end of each class, I will sing a healing song to you using ancient Vedic mantras…. a lullaby for for your nervous system. You’ll leave feeling energised, relaxed, happy and loved!!!
I also teach Ayurvedic cooking and nutrition for digestive health. As a qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner and the author of my first Ayurvedic cookbook ‘Making Food Medicine’, my passion is to share this ancient knowledge in a fun, practical and modern approach.
