This teacher training is for teachers who have done the level 1, 200 hours training with Sushumna Yoga or another Yoga Alliance registered school.
This is an intensive 4 -week programme that will be led by Sonja Appel (ERYT 500), Director of Sushumna Yoga. Sonja has a great depth of knowledge in all things yogic and has 20 years of experience teaching and leading workshops and YTT’s in London, India & Nepal. She will be dealing with pre+post natal, children & teens yoga, workshops & business education, asana & the 8 limbs of Patanjalis yoga sutras and shedding light on the 2 Training Manuals. Assisting Sonja on this programme are:
Yoga Philosophy Teacher: Baba Naga Rampuri: His instruction will include kriyas, chanting, satsang.
Anatomy & Physiology Teacher: From Goa Medical college, who teaches anatomy & physiology to doctors.

The teachers come from different schools of yoga to give a broad perspective, within a structured teaching syllabus.
The 28 day intensive includes 25 days of training with one day off per week. The combination of in-class contact hours together with out-of-class non-contact hours, (prerequisite reading, reports and home play) totals the hours at 500. Yoga Alliance requires 500 hours for advanced teacher training registration.
Graduates of our programme, who have demonstrated an understanding of the material and completed all requirements, will be eligible to register as a RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance.
