200 TTC - Excellent Foundation

I did my training at WLYA. Not only is the ashram in a beautiful location with comfortable accommodation and absolutely delicious vegan food, the training offers a solid foundation in classical yoga.

For me, the experience helped to ground me in the roots and meaning of yoga. While I have done additional training at other ashrams, I always connect it back to the foundation that was instilled in me at WLYA.

This is always the first place I recommend when someone asks where they should go to train. The experience they share and the experience you gain is second to done.

My Time at WLYA

I attended the 200 hour TTC at WLYA in the spring of 2015. At the time I was 19 years old and had been backpacking through SE Asia. I started on my yoga journey at a young age. Always questioning my own actions, often self reflecting and seeing yoga as not only a form of body movement; deep down I was curious of it's philosophy. WLYA has been the most profound experience I have had throughout my life so far.

I was raised Christian, but drifted away in my teens, yet the core values of Christianity stayed with me like kindness, love, and compassion. I was introduced to a curriculum at WLYA that was relatable from the perspective of any religious upbringing. My teachers said that any religion can be applied alongside the practise of yoga, as the core values are all the same. After learning the Sutras, asanas and pranayamas I felt a new peace come over me and experienced more clarity in my day to day life. I often reflect upon what I have learned at WLYA in my daily life up until today and am so grateful for the tools and techniques I was given to manage stress that can arise in the Western working world. I cannot wait to return to our beautiful home! Thank you Jeenal and Daniel!

Best experience ever!

We had been in Wlya for 9 weeks, 500 hrs yttc, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Jeenal, Daniel & their staff took care of us cooking a delicious vegan food and sharing all their knowledge on traditional yogic lifestyle. The location is in the middle of the nature and services are so good! If you are looking for a yttc this is the best place!

Authenticity and love

Looking for an authentic and professional Yoga school can be very daunting with all the variety of schools available all over the world. I have been very grateful to have chosen Wise Living Yoga for my Yoga studies. I attended the 200 hours in 2014. The profesionalism starts from the initial contact and email communication and all information provided is accurate and to the point. The teachings, course structure, manuals provided, reference books, food, accommodation are simply amazing.

The course is structured in such a way that it gives one, direct experience of a Yogic lifestyle. The location and surroundings are truly peaceful and ideal. Both teachers Jeenal and Daniel have their unique way of teaching that shows the love, passion and dedication in sharing their knowledge and all the staff are truly kind and warm hearted. I loved it so much that I came back for the 300 hrs and next month will be taking further studies in Yoga Therapy - 500 hrs. At WLY I learnt the traditional Yoga, a Yoga which is much more than postures, showed me a whole new perspective of life, a truly enjoyable and fruitful experience!

Best yoga teacher training in Thailand.

Wise Living Yoga Academy is true yoga. I came here to be trained as a yoga teacher 3 years ago, and the program changed my life from the inside out. I now teach yoga worldwide as I travel on the yoga trail. I've recently returned to continue my education. The training is authentic, classical yoga based on safe and effective hatha asanas, philosophy, pranayama, meditation and living in an ashram like environment in a quiet and beautiful Thai community. I couldn't be happier to have found my tribe.

Ashram Life as in India, out of India

I know Daniel and Jeenal since 2010 when they were both teaching at the Yoga Institute Santacruz in Mumbai, India. They have started a great project in order to offer students willing to learn pure, traditional Yoga in a comfortable yet simple surrounding in the outskirts of Chiang Mai, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. They follow strictly the patterns of ashram life as it's in India, offering simple yet delicious organic, vegan food, a very well structured course based on the curriculum of the Yoga institute explaining Yoga's philosophy based upon Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and Sankhya. Definitely a wonderful place for a life changing experience.
