An economist and sinologist (Chinese studies) by education, I have been practising and studying yoga and yoga philosophy for the past 15 years (in the past 8 years, mostly the Iyengar yoga system). I have been studying mainly with Swati and Rajiv Chanchani (Yog-Ganga Center for Yogic studies, Dehradun, India) and Nanda Kumar (BKS Iyengar Yoga Institute/Association, Malaysia).
After having completed a teacher training (320 hours at Yogi Nomad, Kathmandu) I continued my studies in Ayurveda and Yoga therapy with the American Institute of Vedic Studies. As I've always had a keen interest in yoga philosophy and read a variety of related scriptures, I am now following the Bhagavad Gita Homestudy Course of Swami Dayananda Ashram (Vedanta), Rishikesh. At the same time I’m participating in the Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training at the BKS Iyengar Yoga Institute in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia (Sri Nanda Kumar).
Based on the above studies and practices I am sharing my knowledge on yoga in a private space in Kathmandu, Nepal. More details can be found under the facebook page ‘yogaroomkathmandu’.
