Adina fuses her background as an occupational therapist, combining its science and theory with the holistic healing of yoga to craft unique and therapeutic classes.

Adina is a graduate of the Occupational Science and Therapy program at the University of Southern California. Since graduating in 2002 she has gone on to work in the in-patient rehabilitation unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for nearly 10 years. In the middle of her time at Children’s Hospital, she returned to school to further her studies. She attended New York University and graduated in 2007 with a Masters of Arts in their Post Professional Occupational Therapy Program. While in graduate school she worked at a pediatric private-practice and later at NYU’s RUSK Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine.

Once returning to California, she enrolled in the 200-hour teacher training program at YogaWorks. It was after this intensive 6 month training that Adina began to fully integrate the sciences of both occupational therapy and yoga. All of her patients thereafter received this melding in each session as Adina feels there is no separation between the two in her treatments.

She believes that mindfulness and svadhyaya, self-study, can be the gateway towards healthy living, beyond the mat. Her evidence-based approach to movement increases strength and range of motion through deliberate and progressive postures. With an attentive eye for proper alignment and comfort, students enjoy a safe and sustainable yoga practice.

Adina has a passion for healthy aging and pain management and has developed a distinctive and customized yoga program to best serve this population both physically and emotionally.

Adina speaks at national conferences and teaches groups, workshops and private classes in Los Angeles.

One of the best

I have taken yoga classes since the mid-80's with probably over 100 instructors. Adina is in the top three. She has a deep understanding of the positions, what they are supposed to do, and how to keep the body safe in each posture. The combination of her deep understanding, command of the class, humor and passion make her classes a joy to experience. Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned yogi- you will enjoy her classes.
