Yoga is a practice that can be useful in every aspect of life, from taking care of a stiff neck to standing in line at the grocery store. I feel very lucky to have been introduced to a style called Svaroopa yoga in February of 2008. Svaroopa is a therapeutic style of yoga that focuses on releasing muscles of the spine to manage pain, boost the immune system, and relieve stress. I also have a background in social work and combine mental health counseling with mindfulness practices to help people use their strengths to gracefully get through difficult situations.
