Fabulous Yoga teacher !

Alan is a highly experienced Yoga instructor .. he combines safety, body awareness, and great cueing in all of his classes.
He always includes good reminders for safe poses and encourages participants to work at their own edge. Alan creates a positive hardworking spirit in class - a dose of humour and fun are always included !Perfect Yoga balance :)

A pleasure to learn from!

I've scene Alans' name quite frequently through the years as I practiced & studied yoga. It wasn't until early 2015 that I finally met & learned from Alan. His first Yin Yoga certificate program was an amazing weekend filled with knowledge, practice and laughs. His style and delivery of the information was so much fun, it was a great weekend! He is easy to relate to and talk with, although our one on one was brief, I could truly feel his passion for the Yin practice. Alan is an excellent teacher for practitioners and teachers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, energy and passion!

My first experience with yoga was a Yoga for Golfers course that Alan was teaching. He suggested, once the course was over, that I try Moksha which I did in his classes and he has basically spoiled me for anyone else. He is very good at explaining a position and at the same time demonstrating it. He also gives alternatives for people in the class who are beginners and/or less flexible.

The other thing I have always really liked is that he has a loud voice and for myself as a beginner I need to hear the explanation of the pose. I have found so many of the instructors speak in such a soft voice (especially the females) that it becomes very frustrating to follow the class. As an aside my daughter took yoga classes with Alan 15+ years ago. She has taken classes in many cities in North America and is now an instructor herself. She has said that he was one of the best instructors she ever had. I just wish Alan would teach more classes during the day!

Excellent Teacher

I attended a Yin workshop taught by Alan. He was knowledgable, helpful and taught the material very well. The Yin classes he lead were also excellent - I felt they were accessible and he gave lots of options for modifications for each pose.
