For months I drove past a local yoga studio during my daily commute, often thinking, “I need to try that one day”. That "one day" soon came after a life-altering event that left me seeking inner peace and renewed purpose. It didn't take me long to discover that through the practice of yoga I had found an outlet that would allow me to become more self-aware and mindful both in the yoga studio and my daily life. I practice asana (poses), pranayama (focused breathing) and dharana/dhyana (concentration and meditation) daily to maintain mental clarity, physical ease and spiritual balance. I feel a personal calling to share the practice of yoga with those who may not normally have access to or consider the benefits of yoga, those beginning their yoga journey and those “seeking”.
