Whether it's your first time on the mat or it's just been awhile, it's easy for yoga to seem intimidating; feeling like you aren't the right age, 'in shape' or flexible enough to participate. I firmly believe that yoga is for everyone, no matter your age or athletic ability, and my mission is to bring yoga to all.
I caught big time yoga fever after my first class in 2010. While I have played competitive sports all of my life, yoga was the first time I had the opportunity to explore what it felt like to move without concentrating on the score or winning against somebody else - there is nothing but you and your mat.
Inspired by the challenges and personal journey unique to each class, I center my classes around creating a playful and friendly space for students to safely strengthen both body and mind.
I am a Yoga Alliance Certified 200RYT Vinyasa Instructor, and I am currently working on my 300RYT at the Yoga Seed Collective in Sacramento. I have completed BOGA Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga Instructor Training, Aerial Yoga Instructor Training, and Balanced Body Pilates Reformer Instructor Training I, II, and III.
In addition to my instructor education, I have taken Introduction to Yoga Therapy w/ Jess Rhodes and Zachary Pasillas and Secondary Trauma/Resilience Strengthening Training w/ Stella Atienza, LCSW Sutter Center for Psychiatry.
I currently teach Vinyasa, SUP Yoga, Aerial Yoga & Pilates at several studios throughout Midtown and Downtown Sacramento areas, Roseville and Pleasant Grove.
Off of the mat, you can find me practicing acro, biking around town on my big orange beach cruiser and heading out on outdoor adventures with my dog, Cruz.
