Practicing Yoga is a way of reinventing this body and responding to the challenges and changes of my life. While working as a paramedic for over 20 years, military service and completing a doctorate in medicine I pursued a practice of Zen meditation and yoga at monasteries in the and Europe. My aim in teaching is to connect flexibility, strength and balance to your daily life in a practice that adapts to difficulty within the framework of the greater human family. My current work is teaching college courses, independently writing books and poetry, playing cello and I am now developing therapeutic wellness programs that include movement.
Alex teaches yoga and meditation at all levels. He is always willing to give attention to students by listening and observing so that he can make the most of every class opportunity. And there is always a bit of lightness and humor in everything that he does.
