A longtime practitioner of yoga and mindfulness, Ali Sager is certified 200 RYT in mindful vinyasa, movement studies and restorative yoga with the New England School of Yoga Therapeutics and she will complete her 500 RYT certification in 2017.
Her journey with yoga began with an initial desire to reconnect to her body, her practice becoming a place of refuge and growth. Her curiosity and desire to help others deepen their own yoga and mindfulness practices as well as cultivate greater presence in their daily lives led her to teaching. Her classes build upon the foundation of awareness, layering in breath and incorporating mindful, dynamic movement.
She continues to study yoga and movement studies under the guidance of her teacher Bo Forbes and mindfulness with Bill and Susan Morgan, founding members of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy. She studied with Judith Hanson Lasater, Tias Little and Tom Myers and is also certified in teaching yoga to kids, adolescents and young adults as a Radiant Child Yoga teacher.
Ali participates in a clinical supervision group and assists trainings, online courses and workshops including at The Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Yoga Journal Live! New York.
Previously, Ali studied, lived and worked in Italy for over ten years, where she immersed herself in the study of human rights and international relations and is fluent in Italian.
She works privately one-on-one with clients and teaches group classes in Boston, MA.
