After a career of more than 40 years as an artist and as a designer for theatre and films, teaching in education to post graduate level, I now work as a Yoga Practitioner and Homeopath.
I am committed to life long learning, particularly in areas that explore and activate the full creative potential of the individual, self-awareness and personal transformation.
I first became interested in Yoga after a life threatening car accident in 1972 and since then have studied and practiced a wide range of alternative modalities, often with internationally renowned teachers. I first started to study Homeopathy with Misha Norland in 1979 and in the early 80’s I lived in Adelaide, Australia and attended yoga classes given by Swami Adjnananda. I returned to the UK in 1992 and worked as a Homœopath and Kirei/Reiki practitioner.
I then qualified as a Yoga Therapist at the Yoga Biomedical Trust in London and started to take classes at Earls Court Gym, Holmes Place and The Soho Gym as well as seeing students privately.
In 1998, I was invited with my partner Csilla to Northern Ireland and since then have worked as a Yoga instructor and therapist. I was an associate lecturer at East Down Institute of Further and Higher Education where I developed Yoga programmes., including the first City and Guilds accredited Yoga Foundation Certificate course in the
I opened The Yoga Studio in Newry twelve years ago, to focus on bringing yoga into the community and training yoga specialist to work with community groups. I have now closed the Newry Studio to concentrate on online training, one to one consultations for Yoga and Homeopathy. I am still facilitating a few classes at the Cloughmore Centre in Rostrevor
I work extensively with students with special needs and my book Yoga for Energy was published by Duncan Baird Publishers and has been translated in to several languages. I am recognised by the NHS as an accredited Yoga Therapist.
