Allie has always had a passion for supporting others, and has dedicated her life to this cause. After graduating with a degree in Sociology, she has worked in the mental health field as a counselor in various settings. Through the years, Allison began to feel that her knowledge and capacity to help others was missing a very significant piece. Yoga came into her life initially as a physical practice and stress reliever, but she began noticing a positive shift in her mind, habits, perspectives, emotional stability, and spirituality. She knew that this practice was that missing piece she was looking for. She found that by addressing and working with the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected aspects of the self, healing can happen on a deeper level. She started teaching yoga to children, then began teaching adults. Eventually she decided to dive deeper into the practice by taking a 1000 hour Yoga Therapy training. Because of the profound experiences in this training, Allison’s passion for helping others through yoga has grown exponentially. Her goal through Yoga Therapy is to help others find the power within themselves to self-heal.
