I began taking yoga for gym class in college, and I immediately loved the practice. I wanted a career doing something I truly enjoyed, so when I saw an advertisement for yoga teacher training in 2001, I signed up. I spent 3 months at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Grass Valley, CA, and I have been teaching ever since. My classes are based in very traditional methods, and emphasize the importance of meditation, pranayama, and positive thinking along with the practice of asana. Each class is body-positive and encourages a practice based in self-love.
