I'm a teacher of Ashtanga Yoga, but also an eternal student, vegan, juice lover, outdoors addict, and chief Yogi funster at AmberYoga.
I found Yoga as a way out of the rut of being a self confessed gym junkie. I was looking for something which was more meaningful but yet would still challenge me. In Yoga I have found all this and more. At first I practiced Hatha Yoga alongside the gym routine, but soon realised that Yoga was not only what I preferred but what I needed. It gave me what my body and mind had been looking for.
I found Ashtanga Yoga in 2006 and have not looked back. In this I had found the perfect blend of physical challenge and mental clarity. It has taught me many valuable lessons along the way, and I still continue to learn from it daily, as my journey unfolds.
Nothing has inspired me like the Ashtanga practice, and it is this which has kept me coming back to my mat to see what each days lesson will be.
I like to teach in a fun and inspirational way, drawing from my own personal experiences on the mat. I have been very lucky to study with many inspirational teachers such as David Williams, David Swenson, Kino MacGregor, Danny Paradise and Matthew Sweeney, and 2010 I travelled to Mexico to take a teacher apprenticeship with Michael Gannon.
