I discovered Yoga as a professional dancer. I have studied and taught Yoga in many places including India, New York, London and Berlin and also performed as a dancer and cabaret performer throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.
After completing my initial teacher training 15 years ago with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta organisation, I taught in London then opened a centre in Adelaide, South Australia. A few years later I moved to Melbourne and continued to practice and study many styles of Hatha Yoga including Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Classical. I then traveled to New York to do my advanced teacher training in 2010 and In 2013 I completed another 200 hr training course with Noah Maze and Christina Sell. I also have my Prenatal qualification through Ana Davis (Byron Yoga). Yep, you guessed it, I love to study Yoga!
I spent the past 6 years working (and managing) the Yoga at Breathe Wellbeing. Currently I run my own Yoga centre focusing mainly on Yoga Teacher Training called The Yoga Social.
I choose not to align myself with one particular style or yogi gang. I'm just passionate about Yoga. My Yoga classes are a fusion of all the paths I've studied including Vinyasa and Classical Hatha, and I'm determined to educate Yogis that there's more to Yoga than Downward Facing Dog.
My inspirations have come from (in no particular order) Swami Sadasivananda (teacher in London and New York), urban creativity, funny people, krishnamacharya, my cats, family and friends, Noah Maze, my life partner Cera, music, self-observation and my Yoga students.
Outside of Yoga, I hang with my partner Cera (a physio student) and our adorable cats Ruby and Walter.
