Amelia is a firm believer that it is our handling of the details of life that defines the quality of our days. Through yoga she strives to live life consciously, using her strengths and talents to make a meaningful difference. Her mission is to help people to define the quality of their days through a holistic approach that addresses mind, body, spirit and breath.
Amelia holds a BA in Psychology, an MEd in Kinesiology/Physical Education and a PhD in Adult Education. Amelia holds certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor and Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise. She is a Certified Sports Yoga Instructor through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association. She is certified in yoga for back pain by Yogafit and is RYT 200. Amelia offers classes and workshops at Trilogy Wellness Studio and online. She has extensive experience in distance/virtual education. For more than 15 years she has developed and delivered online content at the university level and has contributed to the literature and research in this industy.
Her yoga practice dates back over 20 years when she took her first yoga class while in graduate school. She continues to find the benefits of yoga to be immeasurable and she is passionate about sharing these benefits with others. Her teaching style is slow flowing core strength vinyasa. Come prepared to move thru a strong vinyasa sequence that will explore the empowering connection between mind, body and breath. Be willing to let go of self judgement and expectations and arrive just as you are, you are enough.
