Amy began studying yoga in 1998 as an athlete recovering from a surgery. Once her studies began, she never looked back from yoga, believing in both its infinitely tailored accessibility and challenge for all levels of capability. Amy believes in healthy minds and bodies, nurturing our strengths, working our weaknesses and contributing to a positive community. Yoga allows one to recover from weakness, as well as strengthen our athletic attributes to help create and love our body and mind. Today she teaches primarily Vinyasa, Anusara and Ashtanga yoga. Amy's yoga and martial arts journey began in Seattle, WA and has now brought it across the nation to Rhode Island. Every day is a new day and another opportunity to bring one's light, love, and strength one step closer into our own lives and into our community. Amy is also an FMAA and Doce Pares instructor (filipino martial arts) honored with the ranks of 4th and 6th degree.
