I've been practicing Therapeutic Yoga with Amy for many years now. No matter where the venue, I go where she teaches. She gives just the right amount of guidance and support, both physically and mentally. My mind and body always feel better after attending one of her classes. It is one of the best things in life that I do for myself every time I go. She is my yoga guru!
Amy's first lessons filled me with hope that I could recover from injuries that felt very life-limiting. And that hope was fulfilled. I never imagined that I could find this level of strength, balance, and confidence. I have years of yoga experience, but Amy was the guide to my healing. Hooked for life.
I have constant pain in my back from arthritis and poor body mechanics. I also have depression which is, exacerbated by pain, lack of exercise, and insufficient social activities.
Amy's therapeutic classes have increased my freedom from these challenges. She usually keeps the classes under 10 members and tailors each class to the challenges we are facing that day.
She tailors each pose to challenge us at our own levels. When one of us is confused by a pose, she quietly comes to us and helps us to better experience the pose.
I am always inspired by the other members of the class and how they meet their challenges. There is always and warm and supportive atmosphere.
Most of time in the classes is conducted in a meditative way which relaxes and rests me.
Amy has been my yoga instructor since she first became a Therapeutic Yoga teacher. I’ve seen her mature into simply the best teacher around! She has an inborn ability to lead by example while explaining the goals and techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Amy also brings the spiritual side of yoga greatly missing in in the general population. She provides the total mind/body yoga experience. Namaste ?
