Born in 1976 in Montreal, Canada, her father from New York and her mother from Chile, Anastasia grew up in a progressive and permissive environment.
From a very young age, theatre, music and travel were intrinsic parts of her world.
At the age of 18, Anastasia studied jazz vocals and guitar in Santiago, Chile, where she also developed her song writing craft. Through her music she embarked on a lifelong journey of traveling and exploring different cultures around the world.
Eventually music would take her back to Canada and in the company of a dedicated band of musicians she produced two critically acclaimed albums.

This combination of diverse life experiences and a pursuit of artistic integrity led Anastasia to a new passion: yoga. After many years of practicing different types of hot Vinyasas, Anastasia moved to London where she perfected her art under the direction of Luiz Veiga, a renowned Ashtanga practitioner and spiritual completed her certificate in Ashtanga Hatha and Vinyasa flow in Mexico with Olivia Martinez – former student and certified Ashtanga teacher of Pattabhi and Sharath Jois.

Back in Montreal, Anastasia began teaching private lessons “Mysore style”, where asanas are practiced, one by one in a sequential order, during which the teacher assists by providing individual adjustments. She also collaborated with her mentor Corinne Lepage, with whom she created a workshop entitled “Immersion in the Tradition of Ashtanga.”
Anastasia traveled to Mysore, India in 2013 and studied anatomy with Noah Mckenna while deepening her Ashtanga practice with Jay Prakash.

She currently teaches Ashtanga primary series and Yoga Nidra, as well as managing retreats at Om Yoga Casablanca in Morocco.
