Andrea began practicing yoga at summer theatre school when she was just 15 years old. She immediately embraced the concepts of an asana practice, including living in the now and achieving a heightened awareness within the mind, body and soul. Once in college, Andrea kept up with her practice to ward off the freshman 15, which reaped such great rewards that she started sharing this passion for yoga with her roommate. When she moved to Austin, she deepened her asana practice by completing Core Power Yoga's 200 hour teacher training program. Through this program Andrea discovered that sharing yoga is the path she's destined to follow. Her deepest passion is teaching yoga in a way that builds a strong sense of community so that people continue to come back to their mats feeling grounded and energized. To keep her yoga practice spirited and informed, Andrea completed Yoga Yoga's 300 hour teacher training where she studied with teachers from the Krishnamacharya, T. K. V. Desikachar and K. Pattabhi Jois. Her on going Yoga Sutra study is with Chase Bossart.
