I was introduced to yoga in 2012 while in college, when I met a group of monks teaching bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion. The practices of kirtan, chanting, and studying philosophy enticed me and although I continued exploring various paths, the devotion to yoga stuck. I soon began practicing the asana and pranayama techniques of hatha yoga. Vipassana meditation became a daily pillar of my practice after attending a silent course on the technique. Over the last few years my dedication to these practices continues to grow and I have studied many traditions and styles of yoga, taking workshops and retreats with master teachers in the US and India.
In 2015 I completed my 200hr teacher training through Moksha Yoga Center and taught at their yoga retreat center, Stonehouse Farms, for two summers. I have worked continuously to explore and integrate yoga and meditation into my life, and have seen it bring me immense physical, mental, and spiritual growth. I strive to teach accessible, alignment based classes rooted in classical yogic tradition in order to share yoga’s countless benefits with all of my students.
