Angela began her yoga practice in 2008 as a means of exercise. At the time she was working her desk job, leading the stereotypical life of a girl in her mid-twenties and had no exercise routine. She immediately fell in love with how the practice counteracted the aches and pains of her desk job, as well as kick-started her path inward by lessening her anxiety. It quickly became an essential part of her life. She practiced consistently for years and watched her inner and outer world transform with her practice. After about five years she decided to do a yoga teacher training to satisfy her own personal thirst for this beautiful knowledge, but quickly decided to start sharing it afterword. She currently teaches part time at Urban Om on Milwaukee's east side and Inner Light Yoga Studios in Wauwatosa, WI and is having an amazing time learning and growing with her students.
Angela is certified at the 500hr level. Her 200hr was completed in 2014 with Santosh Yoga in Foundational Alignment based Hatha Yoga and her 300hr with Zuna Yoga in 2016 in the Tantra Hatha Vinyasa tradition. She also received a SUP Yoga Teaching certificate from Zuna yoga, while studying and practicing on magical island of Gili Air, Lombok, Indonesia.
Angela believes in an open minded and safe yoga practice that evolves with her life and needs, so is constantly trying new forms to balance and upgrade her practice. She has personally found the mixture of alignment based postures with flowing transitions to be the most authentic for her to practice and teach. During the week Angela also works as a Commercial Interior Designer. Her and her husband, Jim, reside in Wauwatosa, WI with their two cats, Rose and Banjo. In their free time they enjoy going to concerts, traveling, camping, hiking, and slowly updating their 100 year old Bungalow.
