Angela has been immersed in the world of yoga since 1998. She leads international teacher trainings and retreats in the both the yin and vinyasa traditions. She is a contributor to health and wellness magazines, has appeared on national television networks, speaks at conference and is currently completing her first book.
She started practising yoga to help her with back pain and soon felt the impact the practice was having not just on her physical body but on her mental and emotional experience. Her fascination with the relationship between our mental state and our physical state lead her into the exciting world of fascia. Angela's principle subject is fascial anatomy and how our myofascial health impacts our emotional wellbeing.
Her work now extends out to yoga teachers as well as psychotherapists, physiotherapists, massage therapists and to anyone interested in the healing arts.
Her subjects are philosophy, asana, energetic and physical anatomy, pranayama and meditation. She has studied with Sarah Powers, Glen Black, Ron Reid, Jonathan Austman , Jeannine Woodall,Tracey Soghrati, Hali Schwartz and is currently under the guidance of Rishi Sudhir of the Sampoorna school in Goa - India.
Her background in gymnastics as well as her degree in philosophy, from McMaster University, compliments and shapes her stimulating and thoughtful approach to teaching yoga.
