I began learning yoga in Santa Barbara, CA 1976 but then life got in the way and I pursued other interests. it was when I discovered Kripalu Yoga at my health club, almost twenty years later, that I began to be a more serious student. In 1995 I did a one month intensive training at Kripalu, Center for Yoga and Wellness and soon after opened a yoga studio, Beacon Light Yoga of Boston. The studio became an affiliate of Kripalu and we rained perhaps over a thousands students.
My style is a slow flow yoga, gentle yet dynamic. using inspiring music and focusing on relaxing and allowing and watching and feeling and breathing
I have produced a CD and a DVD for home practice
Since 1997 chair yoga is my specialty and had been offered throughout the greater Boston area, Currently this chair class has evolved to, at times, include resistance bands, and chair dance. added to some traditional Yoga. I teach in several locations in Sarasota FL
Yoga Retreats/Adventures to Negril Jamaica are offered from time to time. My organization, A New Aging Movement, focuses on healthy aging for Boomers and Beyond. I publish a monthly column in Newburyport Daily News, Boomer Talk
I offer both private one on one classes in your home or my home studio and group instruction for small or large groups.
