Hello, my name is Anna Holland and I love yoga. It makes me feel amazing: more energised, physically stronger, happier and teaches me to actually live more in the moment.
I have been practicing yoga ever since my mother took me to my first class in 1994. Since then I’ve tried hatha, ashtanga, hot and iyenga. I stumbled across Vinyasa Flow which is what I practise and teach and adore: fluid movement with your breath through a series of beautiful poses, with a hint of Iyenga for alignment.
I have studied yoga under Krishna Yoga with Asha Khagram and qualified July '15 as a Registered Yoga Teacher 200hr with Yoga Alliance UK . In November I qualified with YogaKidz Worldwide as a Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga teacher and with Christiane Kerr, owner of Calm for Kids, and am now qualified to teach teenagers. I opened up an intimate studio in my home in New Malden this September and I'm delighted to say business is going well - I get to meet lovely new students every week and they seem to keep coming back for more! A day doesn't go by where I don't roll out my yoga mat and work out a new sequence or practise what I've learnt over the years. My new teacher resolution is to sign myself onto a yoga retreat, somewhere so that I can soak up those yoga vibes!
My most favourite thing in the world is my family. I have three beautiful daughters and a gorgeous husband (and Bella the dog who does the best downward dog). They love yoga (having little choice in the matter) so you may see them in class from time to time.
My indulgences: travelling, chocolate, saying 'no', saying 'yes', long walks, singing at the top of my lungs & dancing with my girls and lie
