How Anna became a yoga teacher is a rather remarkable story: more than a decade ago, the young adventurer decided to pack her bags and leave her beloved hometown St Petersburg behind. Anna ventured out all by herself, hoping to find new, exciting opportunities. She explored exotic cultures, interesting lifestyles and braved different challenges every day.
Following this new route, she entered deep into various styles of practices and trained to become a qualified yoga teacher and massage therapist. Her passionate journey full of joy and devotion continues to shape Anna’s everyday life and those of her students alike, with the aim to connect the heart, mind and body.
Anna’s teaching mirrors her uplifting character: she has a wonderfully heart-felt, mindful, patient and humorous personality. As a natural part of her daily life she has been practising yoga for almost 10 years now and loves to teach all levels and different styles of yoga.
Her teaching started after the completion of her Kundalini Yoga teaching course with Harijivan and training at the Sivananda Yoga ashram in India. Anna also participated in several 10-day Vipassana silent meditation courses in Sri Lanka, as a student and volunteer alike.
Anna’s interest in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda took her to Hyderabad in India where she completed an Ayurvedic Therapist course at the Ananda Spa Institute in 2015. The same year she absolved an intense one-on-one Thai Massage training for four weeks in Chiang Mai (name of Institute). She has since worked as a fully qualified Thai Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor for clients of Saraii Village eco-hotel in Sri Lanka
