I have been teaching over 50’s yoga for more than 6 years and am passionate about the health benefits of yoga for every body. As we age our bodies tighten, we become more stiff and less flexible, but it doesn’t have to be this way! To quote BKS Iyengar, I have discovered that ‘yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace, tranquillity and joy!’ Yoga allows us to age gracefully and if practiced as little as three times a week, can actually start reversing the ageing process. You will very quickly begin to feel more ease in your body. As well as teaching Glide’s vibrant and ever growing over 50’s community, I enjoy teaching Glide’s Flow classes which are for all levels and all ages.
I am passionate about a lot of things in life and have run many successful businesses but my greatest joy and fulfilment has come from opening Glide Yoga. I completed an ISHTA inspired yoga teacher training course (300 hours) in 2010 and also studied with Nischala Joy Devi (100 hours) completing a Yoga of the Heart yoga therapy certification for people living with heart disease and cancer.
My life has been enhanced and my horizons broadened by my yoga practice. So often life offers you a challenge and there have been many in my life, but these days I am a lot calmer, happier and more centred. I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes where you will experience renewed vitality of body and mind.
