Anne Joseph is a Yoga Therapist, a licensed Massage Therapist and clinical assistant in acupuncture.
She has been assisting the acupuncturists at Circle of Living for the past 20 years. She has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 25 years earning her ERYT500 at YogaWell's Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2005. In 2009 she became Director of YogaWell and Primary yoga Teacher Trainer.
Anne is a seasoned massage therapist, with study in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a focus on the use of yoga as Orthopedic rehabilitation and Stress management.
She created the unique program which employs her skills and techniques in both yoga and massage to introduce yoga safely to beginners and to men and women over 50.
With a compassionate, empathetic and highly perceptive style of teaching, she has taught private and group yoga classes in such diverse settings as hospitals, athletic clubs, YMCA, clinic, skilled nursing facilities, and yoga studios. She combines a depth of knowledge and expertise to create a challenging, yet safe and relaxing experience for all groups and persons.
Anne currently sees private clients for Yoga Therapy and Massage in addition to teaching classes which incorporate a variety of styles including classic/eclectic hatha yoga, chair yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Ayurveda (Yoga’s sister science).
She is a member of IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapy) and holds a board position with (Yoga Education Society). She is registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level of yoga study ERYT500. She has co-authored a scientific abstract for the yoga therapy journal, IJYT. She continues to develop workshops and seminars on popular health topics for schools, corporations, and private entities.
