As a yoga teacher and health coach Anthea loves to work with people in all aspects of yoga, nutrition and wellness. Teaching and coaching seem to come naturally to her, purely out of a desire to share what she is learning. Anthea aims to apply the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda to modern day life, to help people make diet and lifestyle changes that will allow them to experience true health and vitality.

Anthea discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2007 and never looked back. This led to a trip to Thailand in 2008 for her very first yoga retreat at the old Yoga Thailand center. Over time her practice has grown and evolved to include pranayama in the Kaivalyadhama tradition, mantra, meditation and most recently yin yoga. In 2010 Anthea completed Centered Yoga Teacher Training with Paul Dallaghan and returned regularly since then for Continuing Education Trainings such as Pranayama & Philosophy with Paul & Sri Tiwari and Female Anatomy with Arielle.

Anthea initially began her teaching career in a corporate environment in Ireland, where she is from, before branching out to studios and outdoor community yoga. In 2012 she left the corporate world to immerse herself in yoga practices, nutrition studies and to gain experience teaching yoga and Reiki. She spent two years between Bali, Thailand and India before joining the Samahita Retreat teaching team in 2013. Anthea is also the center’s Director of Communications & Programs.
