Ashley has been enjoying the powerful benefits of practicing yoga since 2007. Competing in cross country running both in high school and college, yoga came as a natural addition to her fitness journey. She loved running, but knew something was missing. She continued competing in marathons after college.
She started practicing yoga in 2007 a few days a week. In June of 2014, She began practicing yoga every day. Yoga became a way of life. Ashley quickly realized yoga improved all aspects of her life, strengthening both her body and mind. Stepping on your yoga mat puts your reality in your face. It is the place you will find true you if you choose to.
Ashley found Budokon in 2014. She was inspired by Kancho Cameron Shayne and his art of seamless transition coupled with the beauty of circular rotation. Her passion is in the mindful movement of Budokon. She fell in love with every aspect of it and knew she wanted to share it with others. She completed her RYT 200-Hour Yoga Alliance certification in May 2015 under Missy White and her Budokon Yoga Certification in December 2015 under Kancho Cameron Shayne.
Ashley continues to attend training annually learning from master teachers around the world. She is currently deepening her yoga practice with Tony Nenov in Tampa, FL and starting to work through the mixed martial arts belt system with Kancho Cameron Shayne.
Ashley's instruction is based on the vinyasa flow technique creating a union between breath, movement, and strength building with a playful edge while encouraging her students to find peace and acceptance in their minds and body.
