I have been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for 4. I work primarily with athletes to help them improve their performance and counterbalance their strenuous activities. However, I enjoy teaching a range of styles, including introductory classes, restorative hatha, and advanced Vinyasa practice. I like to challenge students with deep held postures and slow to moderate flow and focus on core-strength and stability.
As a trained percussionist, I intuitively link pranayama and invigorating asanas with rhythmic music throughout class - an intriguing combination that naturally encourages fluidity in movement and deep, balanced breath.
Outside of yoga, I work as a personal chef and drum for a local folk rock band. I'm also passionate about bouldering and cycling, and love working with yoga clients who share these passions.
