I teach Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Primary Series classes in and around Glossop and the High Peak, and online on Zoom. I am a retired nurse, midwife, health visitor and nurse teacher, currently back working in the NHS for the Covid Pandemic.

Friendly and varied yoga class

Barbara is a warm,friendly person. She greets everyone in her class with a great smile and makes all feel welcome. Her teaching style is gentle and encouraging, but she is not afraid to get us to try challenging positions. She gives you the confidence to try something new or difficult in a disarming way, as if anything is possible. I always feel better after I have attended a class.

Nice Experience

I started yoga early this year on medical advice for a muscle condition. Barbara's nice relaxed style makes even the strenuous Ashtanga yoga the class does a pleasure so I continue to attend even though my condition has cleared up. A nice way to end a weekend before thoughts turn to the working week ahead on an early Sunday evening

barbara's astanga yoga keeps me sane

I am so glad I saw Barbara's car advertising her yoga as I had been looking for a while for something to replace Bikram yoga, which it hard to get to a class. I have been doing Barbara's yoga for four months now and I love it. I just wish there were more classes each week. Barbara is an inspiration and a very friendly teacher who strikes the right balance between getting the class to work hard, whilst still being fun.

Barbara is a wonderful yoga teacher. It's evident that she puts a lot of thought beforehand into the structure of each session and somehow always tailors it so that both beginner and expert can fully benefit from the session. Her wise tuition always encourages the student to challenge themselves whilst maintaining respect for the individual's body and limits.

Regular class taker

I've been attending Barbara's yoga classes for almost 2 years now and love the blend of hatha yoga complemented by some key ashtanga sequences. Barbara has a relaxed manner and is very supportive of all students regardless of their capabilities explaining the physical as well as spiritual benefits of exercises as we go. I would heartily recommend Barbara as a yoga instructor and look forward to continuing my practice with her.
