I am an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, Reiki Master and Teacher trained in the Western Usui lineage and the Eastern Komyo Reiki Kai Usui lineage as well as a wife, mother and grandmother. After spending twenty-three years in a large corporation I discovered yoga.
Yoga continues to lead me on a wonderful journey. A long the way I found Reiki . I have studied and practiced Reiki since 2008. I offer Reiki at Yoga on High as well as Mukha Medi Spa. I teach Reiki at Yoga on High in the Short North in Columbus, Ohio.
I graduated from the first class of Urban Zen Training offered in Columbus in 2013. Urban Zen is a combination of Yoga, Reiki, Aromatherapy and Mindfulness Meditations including Body Scans and Breath Awareness. This is a relatively new practice created in 2007 by Donna Karan, Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee. It is offered in hospitals, rehab facilities as well as public classes. The healing modalities used in Urban Zen are specifically tailored to address the common symptoms of illness experienced in everyday life; pain, anxiety, nausea, insomnia, constipation, and exhaustion as well as sadness. I currently teach Urban Zen at the Blendon Senior Center.
I am passionate about my studies which support Urban Zen. I continue to deepen my practice and teaching by attending, yoga trainings specific to Urban Zen, Reiki classes, a yearly excursion to an aromatherapy convention chocked full of lectures as well as practice the modalities daily in my own life.
All of these modalities bring great joy to me and even greater joy when I am able to share them with others to ease their way.
