I was born in Canada to Australian parents. I lived in Madison Wisconsin, USA, a University town in the mid-west, until my tenth birthday. Madison was a lovely place to grow up. Lots of outdoor play and very multicultural with children and interesting enthusiastic intelligent young adults seemingly everywhere. I then went to school on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, attending Indooroopilly High School, another place where open-mindedness was a much welcomed priority. I did a science degree, majoring with Honours in Physiology at Griffith University then a on the effects of the Chinese Herb Ginseng on markers of the stress response in endurance athletes. During this time I discovered Iyengar Yoga classes and loved them and did Yoga everyday on my own. Eventually I developed some pain and injuries from my practice, which led me on a journey of discovery that included completing a Yoga teacher training Qualification in something called "Yoga Chi Gung" in 2003 and Physiotherapy degree at University of Queensland in 2005. I was also trained in "Clinical Pilates" by a Physiotherapist and taught classes from 2004 to 2012. I felt there was more to learn from the Chinese body technologies and started training with the Tai Chi teacher, Wee Kee Jin, from the "School of Central Equilibrium" in 2011 and Zhen Hua Yang from "Calligraphy Yoga" in 2013, both of whom come from 400 year old teaching lineages.
