I first came to yoga about 15 years ago as a way to alleviate the physical and mental stress from the rigors of training for marathons and long distance triathlons. I quickly discovered that the benefits of yoga went well beyond stretching my sore muscles! I love the sense of calmness and presence that I feel from practicing. I felt that my experiences as an athlete would bring a unique perspective as a yoga teacher. I completed a 200 hour Vinyasa Flow teacher training with Rolf Gates as well as a 200 Hatha yoga teacher training with Real Evolution Yoga.
I teach power vinyasa flow, slow flow and yin/yang classes throughout the Monterey Bay (Capitola, Watsonville and Monterey) My classes take students on a journey through a challenging physical practice while being grounded in mindful awareness of what the present moment can bring. My compassionate and fun style is welcoming to all level of students. My intention is to provide a safe, comfortable space for students to explore and discover the truth of who they are through the body, breath and mind.
